Doc i have got rashes (red marks) all over my body. Last six months i am suffering from this problem. Shown to a doctor who diagnosed it as urticaria and told its an allergy and will go with changes in body or i should avoid the allergen but i am still not able to make out the allergen. He advised me to take Allegra 180 mg when it is too severe. My urine is slightly yellowish in color and sometimes i have pain while urinating. It is troubling me alot as i m always scratching like a monkey.
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. Your doctor has correctly diagnosed you to have urticaria. In urticaria, oral antihistamine needs to be continued. So you should continue with allegra in morning and take hydroxyzine 25 mg in evening. Take these medicines atleast for two to three weeks and then the dose of these medicines should be tapered slowly. As you have urinary problems, please rule out urinary tract infection. UTI is one of the causes which can lead to urticaria. Hope this helped
