Suggest Treatment For Prostate Enlargement

i am 55 yrs old, my prostate size is 30cc as given by ultra sound report with healed prostatitis. my post void residual volume is 70cc. what medicine should i take? can a-blocker help? can anything be done to bring back the prostate to its normal size?

Thanks for writing to HCM

Your prostate is mildly enlarged and you are suffering from benign hyperplasia of prostate.It is age related disease.
Your situation can be managed by alpha blockers.You should take medicines regularly.It causes regression in size of prostate.
Surgery is required in cases not responding to medical management.
PSA (Prostate specific antigen)should also be evaluated to exclude malignant causes.
