Hi I m a 34 year old woman I have pain on the lower left side of my abdomen that gets worse when I eat. It seems better when I m sleeping and not as bad when I wake up. I m burbing a lot more and sometimes have reflux. I also have pockets of air coming out of my urethra and more so after I have emptied my bladder.

Hello,

Get investigated (Barium swallow, Upper Endoscopy, Esophageal endometry) for pain in the lower abdomen. Commonly pain & discomfort in the lower abdomen is due to GERD & Acid Reflux. Some food trigger these symptoms like high fatty & oily food, citrus food, alcohol, caffeine, etc. Obesity & sedentary lifestyle may also trigger the discomfort. Medications like Spasmol, antacids, PPI's & H2 Receptor blockers are effective.

Lifestyle changes do reduce bloating, abdominal pain, constipation & diarrhea. Quit smoking or addictions if any. Do regular exercises, maintain weight, avoid sedentary life. Add fiber in diet, take plenty of veggies & fruits.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Overall it seems to be or the given history and symptoms could be suggestive of dyspepsia and it may be associated with hyperacidity.

Taking Tab. Omeprazole may help you a lot. Avoid spicy and fried food.

Now for the urethral condition, it can be due to prolapse, and it can be vaginal prolapse or uterine prolapse. Both the condition needs differentiation as long as the described symptoms are concerned.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
