Suggest Treatment For Pain After Undergoing Tonsillectomy

hi, i had my tonsils taken out 5 days ago, i was perscribed volatrol and codipar 4 times a day, but if i take that for the pain during the day i dont know what to take at night, iv only had 2 hours sleep each night because of the pain, i dont know what to do.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain after 5 days of any surgical procedure is not an abnormal finding and you need not to worry about it as the pain will subside gradually once the healing will proceed..
The medications you are taking are suitable for moderate pain and in case if you have severe pain you can take Tramadol at night time but as it is a narcotic painkiller do not take for more than a week..
In case if after another 3 to 4 days pain does not start improving you need to consult your treating physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation has to be done to rule out for infections and treatment can be planned accordingly..
