Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Neck And Hand

Hi, For the past 15 days I have this numbness in my feet, more in the left one. The is numbness or change of feeling in anus too for past 6 days. I can feel pin pricks. I went to neurology dept for a check up and my nerves were fine, power was 5/5. They said all was okay and asked me for MRI plain of brain but said that it would turn out ok. In past month, My blood pressure was quite less like 90/60 and my sugar level quite low ie 86 when checked random. It was checked almost 2 hours after I have taken something light. I had pain in neck and tingle and numbness in my left index finger for some days many months back. Age is 40 and for he past10 years, I have been using computers and also working long hours as I am a software engineer. My friend doctor had checked my blood pressure 3 days back ie the day I visited the neurology dept, and it was 105/80. He said my this probelm could be due to pressure on my S1 spinal area and or due to psychological causes. ps: I had taken a medicine of herbal nature two days before this illness which had a name sona/chandi super power something once ie one dose and it did not agree with me.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Please get your MRI (cervical spine) done to know the exact cause of tingling as it could be due to compression of nerves in your cervical spine. Take Gabapentin and give hot fomentation, it will relieve your tingling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jaideep Gaver, Orthopedic Surgeon
