Suggest Treatment For Jock Itch On The Penile Shaft

I am a 33 year old male. 5'10 and 300lbs. I am uncircumcised and recently ( a few months ago) had a few tears on my foreskin. These tears went away on their own, but I noticed the area was dry. This past week the tears (2-3) came back and yesterday they seem to have tripled (8-10). I don't know if this is a fungal infection, a friction problem or what. I did have unprotected sex with my wife twice in the same day last week. She wasn't as wet as I would have preferred but haven't had an issue with that before. I don't have any previous history of infections, tears or any other complications with the penis. Up until this year I have had a happy and fun sexual life.

I don't know if it's related but I have also started to get jock itch. Being that the everything is in the same area, is it possible that the jock itch has spread to the penis/foreskin?

What treatments do you recommend?

Hello, thanks for asking you query at this forum.
I am doctor Alok Sinha from India and I will try my best to reply your question.

Most probably you are suffering from a fungal infection. Tear on foreskin is mostly due to friction, excessive moisture, prolonged sweat etc. Frequent masturbation and intercourse without much lubrication are the common causes. It commonly occurs in persons suffering from diabetes/obesity.

Since you are already obese (300 pounds), have jock itch and there is recurrence of these tears on penis, you must take it seriously. You get yourself checked well by a physician who may investigate you for diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension etc apart from prescribing you some anti-fungal cream/tablets for cure of localized fungal infection. You should seriously try to reduce your weight below 200 lbs over a period of next few months to reduce the chances of future recurrence of illness.

I hope it answers your query. I wish you all the best.
