Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Burning Spot In Groin Area

I have a spot in my groin area. It sets in the underwear-lining part of my leg. My Doctor burned a skin tag from that exact area 6 months ago. I was wondering could it be a mucosal melanoma. Do they form in that area? It kind of burns/ itchy. my underwear rub it irritating it.

Thank you for query.It may be due to fungal infection.Please take following precautions.Use loose cotton clothes.Keep area dry.Apply antifungals like terbinafine which is fungicidal.Once subsides use regularly antifungal dusting powders like candid or absorb powder to prevent recurrence.consult doctor if does not subside.You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
