Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Please go for a ventriculoperitoneal shunt as it is a curative for hydrocephalus. If you will not proceed, there is going to be cortical atrophy. Getting a shunt as early as possible and physiotherapy will help the child in maintaining normal intelligence on par with peers.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prasanna Lakshmi, Pediatrician
