My 15 year old son had double hernia surgery (inguinal) in May of this year. He has noticed that one testicle is larger than the other. Is this related and is this something to be concerned about. He is not in any pain. He had two hernia surgeries before, 2008 the right side, 2009 the left side. Mesh was used in the May surgery this year.
Hi, The hernia surgery can lead to some testicular swelling which is temporary. So dont worry about that. Secondly, the size of both testicles is usually different and they are not the same size on both sides. Also, its good they put the mesh as the chances of recurrence are almost negligible now. So, I dont think there is anything to worry about now. If you have any more concerns feel free to ask us again or leave a question as a Direct or Specialist query.
