Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had diarrhea since last night. It finally seemed to dry up during the night and i had an incredible amount of dry gas from that end as well as large volume burping. This morning the diarrhea got worse. I drank about 12oz of water. Shortly thereafter I began vomiting at very high volume...much higher than the amount of water I drank. It was then I noticed how full of liquid my stomach still is. Low volume diarrhea continues all day. I have not urinated much today. If I have had this much diarrhea, why is my stomach so full?...I have only sipped small amounts of water through the day
I went through the history you have posted. It seems from the history that you are having diarrhea and vomiting. This indicates gastroenteritis. This requires treatment in the form of antibiotics, antiemetics drugs. Along with the medical treatment adequate hydration needs to be maintained by intake of fluids. If the dehydration is severe admission and administration of intravenous fluids is required. Do consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you for writing to health care magic. With regards
