Hi dear and thanks for your query.

Gynaecosid is the brand name given by the manufacturer Efroze. The therapeutic ingredients are METHYLOESTRADIOL plus METHYLOESTRENOLONE. Tablet Methyloestrenolone 5mg, Methyloestradiol 0.3mg.

Gynaecosid causes a thinning of the lining of the uterus which would result in mild contractions and bleeding but not expulsion of foetus.
Severe bleeding may occur if used incorrectly.
Gynaecosid may be prescribed as a substitute for Levonogestrel emergency contraception (morning after pill).

Gynaecosid is used for the treatment of non-occurrence of menstrual periods in certain cases (secondary amenorrhea) NOT FOR ABORTIONS.

This drug will not be effective in causing abortions.

Hence contact with a gynecologist to terminate pregnancy.

All the best
