Pulmonologist 's  Response
thanks for your question
i completely understand your problem
omnacortil is a steroid -prednisolone ,it is not a definitive management for bronchitis or copd ,it is just used for short periods that too if neede during acute exacerbations
in long term it can cause serious side effects like osteoporosis and decreases the immunity and make you vulnerable for other infections like tuberculosis.
you need to consult a pulmonologist who can request for a spirometry and certainly stage your disease as per international guidelines
as per staging you can be put on some inhaled medications like formoterol and fluticasone combinations which are definitive management for copd
these inhaled medications have minimal sideeffects .
better not to take prednisolone
you need a pulmonlogists opinion
thanks

may god bless you with good health
