General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about a 28 year old male having recurrent attacks of pharyngitis, sinusitis, then develops patch on tonsil and pain in abdomen, consulted ENT and did several tests.
The commonest cause is URTI that is upper respiratory tract infection which includes the nose, sinuses, pharynx and tonsils.
I would advise you the following:
Get the CT scan of the sinuses.
Tests of blood, particularly culture and sensitivity of the blood during attack, throat swab from affected areas when in attack.
Then only a proper diagnosis can be done.
You may need a long course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant. If the sinusitis is refractory to medical treatment then you will need a corrective surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
