Suggest Treatment For Acute Abdominal Pain And Gastritis

My wife is diabetic and has chronic gastritis. She has this acute pain on the upper abdomen and the pain can only be relieved by pathidine. The doctors have prescribed Hyoscine, omeprazole, amoxycilline, ranitidine and promethazine but nothing seems to help as the pain keeps on coming back. Endoscopy was done and it came out negative, no inflammation of the stomach lining, no ulcer. Please help as we have spent a lot of money on medical bills and nothing seems to improve.

Hello,

As you have stated here that she had gone through the endoscopy, but it turned unremarkable, and she is on all the medicines that ought to be given, but no improvement is there.

It means it may not be gastritis or any pathological illness is there, but it seems to be functional kind of disorders she must be having, IBS could be likely I would suggest trying tablet Clinidium with Chlordiazepoxide medicine.

If this fails to work, then I would suggest seeing the psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
