Suggest Treatment For LDL Cholesterol Level Of 106

Hello, I did a blood test two days ago and received results of LDL Cholesterol of 106. Reference values are HO-99 mg/dl.

I am a 45 year old male and am having some erection problems. Test result for free testerone indicated 10.04. My urologist told me that this number is fine although I did some research of my own and it indicated that most doctors just goes with the normal range for your age but not the optimal age. He referred me to a cardilogist to do further test. Please let me have your thoughts on this.

Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

I would like to know your past medical history, if you suffer from diabetes or high blood pressure.

This value of LDL Cholesterol is not too high for a healthy person, but lower levels are needed when in association with diabetes, obesity or high blood pressure.

I would recommend atorvastatine 1 tab daily to rich a lower level.

Regarding your erection problems, cardiac tests are required to exclude a possible coronary artery syndrome, which can be dangerous when drugs for erection problems (like sildenafil etc) are given.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Iliri
