hello my niece who is 19 has been loosing weight, no appitite, weighs 7 stone gp requested a stool sample the result has come back and she requires a colonoscopy and endoscopy.....it mentioned the numbers 140 please advise what they are testing for thank you

She may be suffering from malabsorption syndromes or any bleeding PV or polyps in the colon may present like this.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. So they may search for the above causes or still more. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
