Suggest The Cause For Testosterone To Be Twice The Normal Level?

What could cause testosterone to be twice the normal level in a woman? My gynecologist thought it wasn t PCOS, but my endocrinologist does think it s PCOS. Irregular, very light periods and a little bit of belly hair are my only symptoms of elevated testosterone.

Hello
Let me explain in detail about the symptoms of PCOD:
1 Androgen excess manifesting as hirsutism & acne.
2 Menstrual irregularities , dysfunctional uterine bleeding or scanty menses .
3 Obesity
4 Alteration in LH/FSH ratio.
5 Elevated serum testosterone .
6 Ultrasound findings , of atretric follicles with increased ovarian stroma.
In my opinion all the symptoms mentioned in your query is an indication of pcod , so consult your gynecologist and get his opinion.
Good luck.
