I suffered heart attack in January,2011.Two stent fitted in RCA & LCA. ECG diagnosed RBBB. Is it MI,that is necrosis has occurred in some portion right ventricle muscle.I am male ,65 years old. May I lead a normal life during rest of my life.Mohammad Nuruzzaman
Dear sir Thanks for your question. RBBB is not heart attack. It can be a purely benign entity or it may come as a result of heart attack. It indicates complete or partial loss of conduction through on of the electrical bundles of heart. If isolated, it is not of much significance itself. The prognosis after a heart attack depends upon the symptoms, pumping of heart, risk factors, drug compliance and exercise capacity. People do live good quality of life after heart attack.
