Suggest Remedy For Swollen Lips

The dermatologist removed what she thought was a mole on my lip by a razor -biopsy and now my lip is swollen. The doctor said it would last an hour and wear off. It has been several hours and my lip is still swollen (triple normal size) and is numb (she did inject lidocaine). When would the swelling subside? Is there anything I could do decrease the swelling?

thanks for your query, the numbness usually remain for 1-2 hours maximum....nothing to worry it will return back to normal. the swelling could be of inflammatory origin secondary to biopsy..you can take a course of antibiotic and analgesics...if the numbness doesnt come down then consult your dermatologist to rule out any nerve injury,..
i hope my answer will help you..take care.
