Hello, I've had a cough, hoarse voice and slight sore throat for a week. Eating causes a burning sensation in the top of my throat, and the back of my tongue where some circumvalate papillae have become enlarged. The pain from these papillae makes it difficult to talk and swallow. What is a likely cause and do I need treatment? I'm an otherwise healthy 30yo female.
