13 years old my child has stomach pain , high fever, vomiting and loose motion. We consulted children specialist 3 days before. He given adol paracetamol and cefuroxime[zamur] antibiotic. We are using doses up to now but fever and other diseases still have. He has feeling weak. Can you help me doctor?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history about your 13 year old child having stomach pains, high fever, vomiting and loose motions, consulted a child specialist 3 days ago, was given paracetamol and cefuroxim, no results. This indicates that your child is suffering from an intestinal infection and cefuroxim is not working to control the infection. Hence I would advise you the following: - Consult your Pediatrician again. Send the sample of stool and blood for tests. Get an appropriate another prescription of a fresh antibiotic and also add on the activated charcoal and probiotics for better and earlier course .
