My grandmother is 83 years old and has bleeding nipples for some time now. she has had a mammogram & the dr hasnt told her directly, but it is cancer. they wont treat it, as she has heart failure and kidneys are not functioning that well. What else can we do regarding the bleeding, do we just let nature take its course?
After hearing your grandmothers history i think now palliative treatment is best for her as she has heart failure and kidney problem.
As she has got breast cancerchemotherapy cannot be tried at this condition as her heart and kidneys are not functioning well and it is a toxic drug.
I would advise her to go for radiotherapy to stop the bleeding .
Palliative treatment means supportive measures to stop her bleeding for which she can take Tranexamic acid tablet 500 mg twice daily after food for 3 days.
