Hello and welcome to HCM,
The rash in the genital region can occur due to both chlamydial infection and fungal infection.
A repeat test for Chlamydia is required to assess whether the infection has cleared or not.
In case the test for Chlamydia is positive, the treatment has to be continued.
The fungal infection can also co-exist with the Chlamydia infection.
Treatment for fungal infection has also to be continued till the infection clears up.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja Puri
