Hello,
As per my surgical experience, the issue of liver cirrhosis with these much symptoms need
palliative care to control symptoms as much as possible unless a
liver transplant is considered as a curative approach.
Apart from basic medications in terms of diuretic, liver protective agents, certain beta blockers as
propranolol and other supportive care, it is recommended to
- consume a salt-free diet
- maintain hydration and urine output with water intake as per the consultant guideline
- restrict protein intake in the routine
- avoid spices, non-veg, dairy fat as well
- control of BP, blood sugar,
creatinine and regular liver function test assessment
- PPI on regular basis for an ulcer.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
