Suggest Management For Depression And OCD

Sir/Mam I am suffering from depression & OCD for the last many years Once i took medicine and I felt good but suddenly i left it thinking that m okay Moreover medicine had some bad effects on my sexual organs Then again i took medicine and left I dont know why But now i feel highly sad

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have depression and OCD and you feel better with medicines but medicines are causing bad effects especially sexual dysfunction. Commonly used drugs in OCD are SSRIs in high doses like Fluoxetine, Fluvoxamine etc. These drugs are known to cause sexual side effects like delayed ejaculation, anorgasmina etc. Some medicines like Bupropion or Mirtazapine when taken in depression and OCD don't result in sexual side effects. You can consult with your psychiatrist to add these drugs to your prescription as they are free of sexual side effects.
Apart from that attend Behaviour Therapy sessions for speedy recovery. Exposure and Response training, Thought Stopping etc have excellent results in OCD.
