Suggest Cause For Itchy Rashes On The Roof Of Mouth

I have an itchy rash (very small red bumps) on the front quarter of the roof of my mouth, just behind my front teeth.I had a number of teeth extracted last week, and I have been taking Augmentin II (500mg) twice a day for 4 days, after I had significant swelling in my face.I am a 54 year 0ld female, and have not ever had an allergy to antibiotics. The rash appeared on the 3rd day of my antibiotic treatment.I have not eaten any new foods lately.I have never had this type of rash.Is it possible that this is a reaction to the Augmentin, or could it be related to the teeth extraction? Or something else? What would typically cause a small itchy rash in the front quarter of the roof of my mouth?
