General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to HCM, I am Dr. Das.,

Here, the report indicates presence of hypothyroidism.

So,l she has to take thyroxine hormone regularly. Dose and frequency will be prescribed by your family physician.

One thing you should no, that she has to take the medicine for the rest of her life.

No dietary or other thing will be helpful in this situation.

Regards.

Diabetologist Dr. Madhuri Patil's  Response
Dear Mr Debajit Kumar Das,

your wife's dose of thyroid tablet has to be certainly increased when her TSH is still more than 10. For dose prescription please see her doctor as I cannot give precise dose to you as per our HCM policy.
Meanwhile please confirm that she takes the tablet early in the morning as soon as she gets up from bed and keeps a gap of minimum 60 minutes before she consumes food or drinks tea or coffee. Also get her anti-TPO test done as this will give a clear idea why she's got the thyroid problem. Get back for any further query. Take care.
