Suffering From Throat Pain, Fever, Took Antibiotic Zocef, Cured, Suffering From A Irritation In Tongue , Inside The Mouth. Remedy?

I had been suffering from throat pain and fever , consulted doctor and started antibiotic zocef 250mg. Bricorex and Piriton expectorant from 9th May,13. Now, my throat pain, inflammation and fever are mostly cured but now I have been suffering from a irritation in my tongue , inside the mouth, just a feeling of getting burn feeling from very hot tea/water spirit. This uneasiness was also present at the time I consulted doctor, but as a part of the total problem. Now, I have been getting irritation feeling in my mouth every time I have any normal spicy food and not getting the taste at all. I have talked with my doctor about the problem and he advised to start Darolac twice a day. Please advice me what to do now.

Hello

I read your query regarding irritation in tongue and interir of mouth after sore throat and fever. This upper respiratory tract infection had been cured by antibiotic , anti inflammatory and expectorant but you developed this irritation after cure of URTI. Now you feel difficulty in taking food.

As per your symptoms it appears as you are having dyspeptic small ulcers in oral cavity. These dyspeptic ulcers may develop as a part of dyspepsia due to fever or sometimes it is antibiotic induced.

To treat it you should take mouth wash and local application of boroglycerine mixed with steroids on the mucosal lining of tongue and buccal mucosa.
