My dad is in stage 4 heart failure . His belly is very swollen and also starting in his feet . He is weak and not peeing much at all, even when he takes a water pill , he doesn t have much output anymore. I spend as much time as I can with him but could you give me a range of how long he may have? Also..he has a pacemaker and defibulatoror and is soon having it disconnected.

dear friend, welcome to HCM. I am deeply about your dad's condition.
can you tell me his renal function tests, creatinine? how old is he?
he appears to be in critical stage. at home or hospital?
lot more data is needed to comment on outcome. pl. revert with all tset results etc.
unfortunately he does seem to be i good shape.
take care and keep me posted.
