Suffering from humming sound in left ear

My daughter aged 20 suffering from humming sound in left ear since one year, in addition to this she is also suffering with vertigo some times and the sound always disturbing her day to day works. She is also suffering some times with radiating left eye pain. When eye pain is coming, the left ear sound is increasing. She is doubting that the eye pain is probably coming before mensturation starts. We contacted one of the neurologist and he advised for brain scanning and diagnised she is suffering from migraraine. She medicated for some time with migranil and pronolol. When she used the medicines the eye pain decreased and when she stops the medicines she is suffering with migraraine pain. She is suffering with migrarine since six years but she is suffering with the ear problem since 2 year. We consulted with an ENT specialist also and medicated for some time but there is no use. Please extent your necessary suggestion in this regard.

Since it is headache which has lead to humming sound in ear Digital X-Ray PNS or CT PNS may rule out a possibility of any sinus or ear problem. A medical Checkup with Internist (Physician) with investigations like RBS, Kidney Function Test, Liver Function Test etc may help reach a definitive diagnosis. A thourough check up is recommended. In the meanwhile plain steam inhalation with facial massage with oil like cocconut oil may help relieve symptoms temporarily.

3 months ago, I have inner ear infection on my left ear with vertigo. Vertigo last for a week but hearing of my left ear has not fully recovered. I can only hear noise but not conversation as the the hearing for high frequency has not recovered. When I move my head from left to right I can hear poping sound. Does it mean that I have a loose eardrum? Will loose eardrum affect my hearing?

Hi there, I have suffered intermittently with a very itchy left inner ear. This is usually accompanied with a dripping type sensation inside my ear or a squelching sound if I move my jaw. (There s never really any discharge but it does feel wet). This evening the itching sensation got bad and I also had some sort of hearing loss in that ear. When I was going to bed I noticed a large bit of dark brown sticky discharge. Could this be an infection? Many thanks,Sinead

Hi. I am a 43yr old female. I went in to an urgent care center 3 days ago after experiencing some really bad dizzy spells and headache. I have also been having problems with my ears. They did flush out my ears because of wax build up. They did an ekg because I do have high blood pressure. I am currently taking Bystolic and Hydrochlorothiazide for it. I was told they thought my symptoms were just vertigo I was experiencing and was prescribed Meclizine for vertigo and naproxen for the headache. I was also told my EKG was abnormal and that I should make an appointment with a cardiologist to follow up. I was given a copy and it said I had flipped T waves. It also said said inferior infarct of the heart should  be considered.  I have been experiencing the dizziness since. I really can t function at all. Last night I had a really bad dizzy spell along with nausea and just generally felt really bad. I had discomfort from my waist up that s just hard to explain. I laid down and waited for it to pass. It lasted a good half hour then it didn t go away completely but I was able to fall asleep.  I have a long history of uncontrollable high blood pressure and heart disease does run very strong on my dads side. My grandfather died due to heart attack, 2 of my uncles have undergone several bypass surgeries and my dad had 6 bypasses done several years ago. I will be making an appointment with my cardiologist today but I a just really stressed thinking my symptoms could be something more serious than just vertigo. I would appreciate it if you could give me any information that would help calm my nerves a little. Thank you

Hi...My relative had intense coughing and sputum in his blood 6 months back.He got admitted....got x rays blood reports Pleural Effusion test CT Scan,Pet Scan, , and finally needle biopsy left lung......in that order. Only test positive was pleural effusion for TB,rest all were negative. For Biopsies, got slides analyzed from 3 places.....no cancer etc. So doctor advised to continue with TB treatment. All the while in last 6 months arrhythmia was there....not severe...but was there. Since last couple of weeks hs is experiencing vertigo(guess due to arrhythmia). Anyways TB follow up was due, so got all the blood/urine reports. All normal. Got Chest Ct Scan which did not show any improvment in white spot on the lung. Almost Same size etc.No growth in spot size though.

So Question is? What is causing arrhythmia ? Biopsy was done very close to heart. Also the CT scan shows no improvement yet? Major concern is Arrhythmia which is affecting mental state of patient?

My husband has been diagnosed with epilepsy , frontal lobe seizures - abscence seizures and has been having major bouts of dizziness, vertigo and has a continual buzzing noise in his head. Medication has not helped him with these symptoms and I wondered if there is anything we can do to help him deal with these issues.

I have had Labrynthitis for 10 weeks now. The vertigo/dizziness has been improving with physical therapy but the anxiety has been very high the since the beginning. I had been taking xanax along with meclizine, but my primary and physical therapist decided that prozac would be great for me in the long run. The prozac has actually made my vertigo and dizziness much worse. I just began taking it 3 days ago, but I am questioning whether it is right for me or not. I told my Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor that I began taking prozac and he told me that could make my balance much worse. My primary and physical therapist disagree. The prozac is certainly making me more dizzy right now, but I wasn t sure if that is just a normal side effect as my body is getting used to the medication, or if the ENT is right and I should stop before possibly making my balance from the labrynthitis worse. I really don t know what the correct answer is and I am tired of suffering from this.
