Suffering From Heavy Bleeding, PCO, Endometrial Hyperplasia And Polyps. Recommended Primlute. Complete The Dosage?

Asa! dear dr. i was suffering from heavy bleeding and my dr. recommended me primlute-n for 25 days and than with the gap of 7 days,2 days & again 7 days......my first course of 25 days is almost complete.
Secondly my recent TVS report conclude Poly cystic ovaries, Endometrial Hyperplasia & endometrial polyps. Kindly let me know at what time to do.

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Fizza, given that you are being seen for abnormal bleeding, and there is concern about thickening of the lining of the uterus related to polyps, then it only makes sense to have the polyps removed. Treatment with medication is not going to get rid of them, only surgery. In addition, the diagnosis of hyperplasia cannot be made on ultrasound. This is diagnosed with a biopsy of the inside of the uterus. If they are concerned about hyperplasia, then this needs to be done to rule out pre-cancerous changes. Your best course of action is to ask for a procedure called a "hysteroscopy with polypectomy and D&C". This is your best path to an answer and solution. Get a second opinion if needed.
