Dear Friend.

Chronic Muscle pains and raised creatinine kinase (CPK) can have following differentials:

1. Rhabdomyolysis.
2. Dermatomyositis
3. Polymyositis.
4.Thyroid disorders esp hypothyroidism
5. Myopathy

And a lot many diseases,
Do you have any rash on body?
What is the level of CK.?
What are the levels of other fractions of CPK, like CPK-MB for myocardial injury.
I would advise you to get a complete evaluation to find the cause, detailed histort, examination and investigations, prominent ones would be
1. CPK- all fractions
2. ESR
3. ANA
4. KFT, uric acid
5.Thyroid profile

You may require a muscle biopsy for a confirm diagnosis.
