Suffered Stroke. Came Out Of Coma, Condition Regressed After Tests. Able To Breath, Move Arms, Legs. Can Survive?
My 84 year old grandad has suffered a stroke. He is in a hospital in Hungary, I don t speak hungarian so I m having trouble understanding what his condition is and or if he will survive. He has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. As far as I know he was in a coma for the first 3 or 4 days, he briefly woke up and even spoke a little bit. But the next day I believe the doctors did some tests and that s when his condition regressed and he s been unconscious ever since. I believe he can move his arms and legs and is breathing on his own. The problem is the brain. Can he survive this long unconscious?
84years old grandpa suffered stroke. After 2to 3 days he recovered slightly but again regressed the reasons may be stroke in evolution , electrolite disturbances like hyponatremia . The bleed or infarct causing mass effect over the brain. Kindly get a rpt CT Scan brain to know the present condition and check for blood sugars and serum sodium and potassium and also chest x-ray to rule out any aspiration feautures.how long he vl live is difficult to say but presently his condition is critical.
