i was told yesterday after a heart cat that the doc wants to take me off plavix which I have been on since 2006. really kinda afraid of the change this is a new doc and location as we have moved and I needed to have new doc in area. Dont have full trust of this one yet, so I guess Imnotsure either way. oh by the way heart stent looks good from 2006 and there is only 5 blockage at another location , what can happen after taking plavix for 7 years and than not taking it.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It is useful to reduce the incidence of clotting by preventing platelet adhesion
The action is similar to aspirin but by a different mechanism...
With several stents, it is preferable to continue for life
Have a second opinion...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
