Stomach Pain With Pus Discharge From Belly Button. Reason?

My name is Andrea, I have been having problems with sharp pains in my stomach for about 2 weeks. I also, found pus coming out of my belly button and I was wondering if I should go in or not? it seems to be hurting me on saturday nights and then the next day is when i usually find dried pus that has an odor the next morning. Through out the week I don t feel the lump inside my stomach and it does nt hurt untill apparently the weekend. Can someone help me?

The discharge of pus from the belly button could suggest the presence of an abscess, which has started draining. Pain and a possibility of a mild fever could be associated with this.

If the abscess has started draining it will not require any serious management, but in case it does not completely drain, it can recur. So visiting a doctor would be a good idea, a mild and short course of antibiotics, with proper sterile dressing and care for the wound should avoid a recurrence.
