Sour Stomach, Creamy Looking Stool, Painful Throat. Is It Virus?

Hi my 6 yr old daughter had a sour stomach for 2 days. Then would feel better off and on.. she has real soft almost creamy looking stool . Her burps still smell and bad gas. Her stomach is sticking out a little. She did complain of her throat hurting the 1st couple of days. Is it a virus or something more? Its been going on now for 5 days. Deb

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding sore throat and abdominal problems of your 6 years old daughter. After considering the the symptoms it appears as your daughter is suffering from viral fever with dyspepsia.

This is a very common presentation of viral fever in children.

You may give these to your child-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Antacid with domperidon.

3- Warm saline gargling.

I hope this will help her otherwise thorough examination by paediatrition will become necessary.

Regards.
