Sore Throat, Headaches, Fever, Night Sweats, Pain On Swallowing. Treatment Options?

Hi, i have sore throat severe body aches headache and fever staying at 38.1 but no cough. Also in the night the fever comes down to normal after night sweats , then goes up back again to 38.1. I started antibotics yesterday .. No difference so far.still having pain swallowing ..and fever at 38.1. This is fourth day ... Pls help i cant go to work .. dont not have energy to get up frim the bed

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You have severe sore throat along with fever,and prostration,it may be viral in origin and secondary bacterial infection is possible.
Please consult good ENT Surgeon and after examination and if required investigation,you will require suitable antibiotic,analgesic,anti inflammatory, and decongestant medicines and it will take some time to recover.
please keep yourself well hydrated and take paracetamol in the mean time.
Hot saline and hexidine gargle will help to some extent.
Please do not take anti biotic by yourself as it may not be effective and may cause unwanted effects,as such also self medication is not good.

Hi
You got viral fever with superadded bacterial infection.
Please take Antibiotic like Clarithromycin,anti inflammatory drug,anti histamine tablet.Paracetamol tablet should be taken 4 times a day.
All your symptoms will come down gradually
