Something Stuck In Throat, Results Show High Gamma GGT Levels. How To Make It Normal ?

I am a 38 year old female and had blood tests done because my throat was feeling like there was something stuck in it. The results were that I had high gamma GGT levels. I was wondering how can I restore them to normal and will this be a constant issue in the future? I am a casual drinker but when I was younger would binge drink on sweekends with friends.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

GGT is found in different parts of the body but is mainly used in assessment of the liver.

It can be increased with any condition affecting the liver, biliary tract and pancreas. In addition its level increases with ingestion of large amounts of alcohol.

Reducing alcohol intake would be helpful in reducing the levels. In addition if further test reveal a reversible cause such as an obstruction, this would be treated.

I hope this helps
