Small Pimple Like Sore On Either Side Of Back, Lump On Side Of Neck. Diagnosed As Infected Sore. Suggestions?

I have two small pimple like sore on either side of the back of my head at the hairline. One has been there for over a month. Then I had a lump on the side of my neck below the largest one. My doctor prescribed fucidin cream. He said it is an infected sore and that the lump is the lymph node.....he wants to do a biopsy if it doesn't heal in a week

Fucidin contains an antibiotic as his active ingredient, you should apply as prescribed on both of the lumps to prevent further infection, usually when there's an active infection the nearby lymph nodes get swollen and inflammation might be present, so it's possible that the lump you mentioned is as your dr. stated a lymph node, his approach to do a biopsy in a week is the recommended setting to get better insight on the nature of the lump, but only if continues to grow.
