Small Papulae In The Roof Of Mouth, White Spots On Cheeks And Lips, Nodule On Right Tonsil. Suggestions ?

I am a 43 year old female smoker. About a year ago, I started having significant changes in my mouth. A small papule in the roof of my mouth, white spots on my cheeks, a nodule above my right tonsil, and now white spots on my lips. Over this past year a constant burning in my mouth. I have now seen three specialists: two ENT and one malifacial surgeon. Each of them just looked in my mouth and really seemed to blow me off. The nodule at the back of my throat is quiet large, but no one seems to notice it's there except me. It wasn't there before that's for sure and neither were all of these other spots. The spots on my lips are similar looking to fordyce spots, however, I just woke up with them a couple of months ago. Once doctor suggests burning mouth syndrome and the others only kept giving me magic mouth wash. Nothing has improved my symptoms. I was able to convince one of the doctors to do a biopsy, but he would only do the one spot in the top of my mouth and that came back as hyperplasia. I am scared to death and don't know what to do at this point if the doctors don't take me seriously. Each one has rushed me in and out....not sure if my insurance company will give me referrals to more doctors. Do you have any suggestions. I've taken steroids, antibiotics, acid reflux meds, lip creams, magic mouth wash, and nothing helps.

Hello,

Welcome to health care magic forum.

Thanks for writing to us.

I have read your concern.

If you are a chronic smoker for a long period of time, the lesions appeared on oral mucosa can be of Leukoplakia, which is a precancerous condition.

Biopsy of the lesion will help to rule out the condition exactly.

I would advice you to quit the smoking habit forever.

Meanwhile,maintain oral hygiene well.

Surgical excision or chemotherapy of the drug will help to relieve the condition underlying.

Avoid anxiety,stressful jobs.

Spicy foods has to be limited.

Please do visit an oral pathologist for further reference.

Hope this helps.
