Suggest Treatment For Atypical Cells In Breast

After 2 different benign breast biopsies showing atypical cells I have been advised to go on the same chemotherapy treatment given to women following breast cancer. My doctor has recommended 25mg daily of Aromasin for 5 years. What is your opinion of this course of treatment?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I would advise you to take a proper advice from good cancer surgeon, because what type of atypical cells and what is the extent of it is very important before the treatment. What stage is it and has it spread to any other parts. Also if it is operable or not, accordingly decide the treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rishma Lakhani, OB & GYN Specialist
