Should Specialist Be Consulted For Fatty Infiltration Of Liver?
My husband recently had pulmonary embolism. He is now on xarelto and is doing better. His recent lung ct scan however did show fatty infiltration of the liver with no adrenal masses. Should he see a specialist. Our primary doctor is not concerned. Thank you
Fatty infiltration of liver is a benign condition of liver metabolism condition. Provided the liver function tests in terms of SGPT and SGOT with alkaline phosphatase are normal, there should not be matter of concern; but if abnormal, must approach an expert Gastroenterologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
