Shivering, Diabetic. Taken Eldoper Tablet For Vomiting And Loose Motion. Suggestions?

My friend Jenifer had some fried oily food stuff from a way side stall, that perhaps induced vomiting and loose motion . She had taken 1 cap of "Eldoper" (lopermide Hydrochloride ) .and an apple and tea. motion is reduced . & vomiting stopped. Now she is shivering . She is diabetic. TAKEN 28 UNITS OF insulin as usual. i DONT KNOW IF her SUGAR LEVEL IS GONE DOWN AND CAUSING SHIVERING /

Hello,
You seem to be right.
These symptoms most likely can be because of low blood sugar levels,since the patient took the normal daily dose of insulin inspite of not eating wel.
In fact patient should have avoided taking insulin in such a case where you hardly eat anything.
Please get the sugar levels checked and,if found low,give some sugar cube or some sweet drink.
Other possibility for shivering could be development of fever.
If fever is there,then give paracetamol.
In any case you must consult a doctor.
