Sharp Tightening Under Right Rib Cage, Diarrheo, Hypothyroidism. Problem In Gall Bladder?

I have been experiencing frequent, sharp tightening under my right rib cage for about three weeks now. It came on pretty sudden and intermittent and tightens now whenever I move, bend, etc. It has been accompanied by black diarrhea at least twice a day. I have hypothyroidism and don't know if this is related. Could this be my gallbladder? What is the solution?

Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic.Thank you for the query.
It could be caused by gallbladder stones and this is the first thing to rule out. But some other causes may be considered such as hepatitis, gastritis or IBD. YOu need to do abdominal ultrasound first and then further tests if necessary. Till that, try to avoid fatty and spicy food, alcohol and smoking.
Wish you good health. Regards
