Sharp Chest Pain, Nausea, Aches, Blocked Sinuses. Is It Pleurisy Or Pericarditis?
My Gp told me I could have pleurisy or pericarditis . I have sharp chest pain which gets worse on lying down. I have a fever nausea aches pains and now my neck feels like a football. My sinuses are blocked and I m bringing up pink phlem. I ve been on antibiotics since Monday but feel worse not better I m also having difficulty controlling the pain. Have I been diagnosed correct.
I have gone through your query regarding sharp chest pain, nausea and pink phlegm.
As you said you are a patient of sinusitis so I cant rule out respiratory tract infection involving your lung and pleura without examination findings and investigations. Your symptoms are common for both the possibility you are suspecting.
Thus a thorough examination of cardio-respiratory system is necessary along with relevent investigations to confirm the diagnosis for possible treatment and to prevent complications.
Regards.
