Severe Itching On Shaft Of Penis, Itching, Scaly Bump. Using Ointment. Recommendations?

I have severe itching on the shaft of my penis with no visible rash. I tested negative for syphilis and herpes. I have been using steroid ointment and clortramizole but the itching will not stop. There is a small scaly bump in the middle of the itching area. I have had itching before with no rash or bump and it always went away on its own.

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns and think that you need to take care of the itchiness with medications. I think that you might need to use an anti-itch medication available over the counter or visit with and consult a doctor for the itching. It may also be worthwhile to have yourself screened for STDs and urine tested for any UTIs, as this can also commonly cause the symptoms that you describe. Routine bloodwork may also be in order. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
