Scheduled For Complete Hysterectomy, Diagnosed With Complex Atypia Hyperplasia. Chances Of Getting Hot Flashes, Mood Swings?
I am scheduled to have a complete hysterectomy. My doctor said I have Complex Atypia Hyperplasia. I need to know what are the chances that I will experience hot flashes, mood swings? Also, my doctor told me that the biopsy confirmed that I do not have cancer and I need to know what is the percentage that I may have cancer after the hysterectomy?
After hysterectomy, the ovaries can work for few years like 3 to 4 years. So immediately after removal of the uterus you may not symptoms like hot flushes, mood swings etc. After regression of ovarian function also some organs in the body like adrenal, adipose tissue etc. will produce hormones. So all women undergoing hysterectomy may not have the symptoms, if needed you can go for HRT. If your cervix is also removed along with uterus the chance of malignancy is very low.
