Red Bumps On Roof Of Mouth, Tiny, Painless, Rubbing Against Tongue. What Could It Be?

I have a small round patch of red bumps on roof of my mouth, soft palette back toward throat . I noticed 2 days ago sensation that there was something in my mouth in this location, like when u have a hair in your mouth. Just saw these red bumps tonight, they are tiny and painless, but I can feel them rubbing againstmy tongue . I have not consumed anything that would be too hot and damaging to my mouth tissue . What could it be?

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Red bumps at the roof of the mouth or palate that are not painful, suggest swelling of minor salivary gland, there are many minor salivary glands in the palatal area that may get blocked or swell.

Inflammation of the salivary gland due to bacterial or viral infection also leads to formation of lesions.

Other than this the swelling at the roof of mouth can be due to vitaminB12 deficiency, tobacco use, smoking, low immunity, bacterial or viral infections.

I suggest you to consult a Dentist and get the examination done.

Hope this helps out.

Regards.
