i have a small red bump with a red ring around it. its a tad bit itchy but not bothersome. i had one at my wrist the other day but it went away. then this one appeared. i dont have any other ones and im just wondering what it could be. it hasnt changed in size. the ring around it is a perfect circle and the skin is red all the way thru. the bump itself is indented at the top. i scratched it this morning and messed with it as i was looking at it. it seemed to be less red then and secreted a little bit of fluid. not blood.
You seem to have developed a lesion of insect bite. First of all, check your beddings and clean it all once.
insect bite leads to a hypersensitivity reaction and that is what has developed in your case too. The red ring that you see around the lesion is due to an irritant and allergic reaction developing against the insect bite. You need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area in order to reduce the allergic component. In addition, take some oral antihistamines to relieve the itching.
Hope it helps
