Recurring fever in the evenings, elevated ESR. Negative results for malaria and widal test, normal X-ray. What is the cause?

My father is 78 years old. Last few days( four) he is suffering from fever. however, his fever(101-102*c) comes every day at a particular time 1900 hours to 2200 hours. I have done almost all the test. Malaria Test is negetive, Widal test is negetive. LFt is Ok. X ray is Ok. RBC is low (3.36x10^12/L).However, his ESR in blood is 105.

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with the possibility of TUBERCULOSIS may be the cause for his sufferings.

-mantoux test,sputum examination may confirm the diagnosis
